About the event

Africa's Struggle for its Art by Bénédicte Savoy tackles the ever relevant and tragic topic of stolen art and repatriation. This covers global politics, orientalism, care for artifacts, perceptions of art, history and everything beyond and in between! This one will be a great chance to take the deep-educational dive you've been too busy to pursue, and you can further your understanding with discussions at book club! We'd love to hear your thoughts on this book and the issue within. You don't have to have a creative background/occupation to attend at all!

Home on Me is a small art business and collective where we champion lesser known artists and seek to educate and diversify within the field. We welcome all and choose books that allow you to engage with the topic so Not to worry, you don't have to read the whole book (or even have read it at all).
